Rachel Branning

Rachel Branning joined ABC 13 as a Multimedia Journalist in August of 2023.

She was born and raised in Altavista and is excited to be back home, telling the stories of the community she grew up in.

Rachel left Virginia to go further south for college and pursue her dream of becoming a reporter. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a bachelor's degree in journalism in May of 2023. Throughout college, Rachel reported on stories covering Northeast Georgia.

As an undergrad, Rachel completed multiple internships, including one right here at ABC 13. She is thrilled to be back and can't wait to continue meeting more people in the community.

In her free time, she loves making memories with friends and family, trying new restaurants, traveling, attending musicals and plays, and watching Georgia football!
