Pattie is proud to have anchored Good Morning Virginia since 1998. GMV was recognized as the best morning show in the state by the Virginia Association of Broadcasters three years in a row.
Pattie started at WSET after graduating from what was then, Randolph-Macon Woman's College. Her first job was behind the scenes running camera, audio and eventually directing the 6:00 and 11:00pm shows.
Pattie eventually went to work in the news department as the assignment editor and reporter. One of her favorite assignments was covering the transition of VMI from a single-sex institution to a co-ed college.
Pattie has worked with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and enjoyed co-hosting the yearly telethon. She's currently on the board of the Presbyterian Cemetery in Lynchburg and is a past member of the United Way's Success By Six program and the Virginia School of the Arts.
In her off time Pattie enjoys spending time with her husband and her son, reading, walking and spending quiet evenings with friends. Pattie grew up in Dallas, Texas, and likes to head back for a visit as often as possible.
