Alexia Stanbridge joined ABC13 in June 2023 as a Multimedia Journalist.
Alexia was raised in Mountain Green, Utah. She left to attend the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University to pursue her dream of becoming a reporter. Alexia graduated summa cum laude in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
In 2023, she graduated with a master’s degree in Mass Communication and received the Outstanding On-Campus Graduate Student Award. Alexia is also a member of the Kappa Tau Alpha honors society in journalism and mass communication and was presented the Top Scholar Award by her chapter in 2023.
While in school, she interviewed newsmaking individuals, like CBS Mornings’ Gayle King, state Attorney Generals and politicians, and more. During the 2022 elections, her coverage of Native American voter ballot translations aired nationally on PBS NewsHour. Alexia has helped produce multiple shows for Arizona PBS, like Beak It Down, Black In Arizona, and Arizona Horizon. She has also reported for Arizona PBS across Arizona and Washington DC. During her time in DC, she fell in love with Virginia!
Alexia loves hiking, biking, snow skiing, wake-surfing and basically anything outdoors! Now Alexia is excited to be part of the ABC13 team and is looking forward to getting to know the community!
