UVa men win their 11th-straight game, rout Clemson 61-36
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WSET) - #2 Virginia keeps on winning, putting on a clinic Tuesday night against #18 Clemson at John Paul Jones Arena, routing the Tigers 61-36.
The Cavs defense, tops in the nation, allows a season-low 36 points.
Kyle Guy got the steal and takes it in, he had 12.
UVA goes on an 18-2 run early in the second half to break open a tight game. Devon Hall led all scorers with 14.
Virginia improves to 19-1 and 8-0 in the ACC. The 36 points allowed were the lowest ever for the Cavaliers against a ranked foe (61-37 win over No. 18 Clemson on Jan. 11, 1995)
Virginia has started 8-0 in ACC play for the first time since starting 12-0 in 1980-81.
UVA held its 20th opponent, all opponents this year, under 50 percent shooting (Clemson – 31.9%).
UVA improved to 13-0 at home, part of its 15-game home winning streak.
