LU Flames prepare for final Big South, FCS game Saturday

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - The Liberty Flames play their season finale this Saturday at Charleston Southern.

With last week's win over Presbyterian, the Flames have won three straight to improve to 6-and-4. They have lost their last three to Charleston Southern. This will be LU's final Big South game and last FCS game as they transition to a full FBS schedule next year.

Turner Gill, LIBERTY HEAD COACH (FLAMES 6-4), said "We look forward to this opportunity and hoping that we can represent this Big South Conference here one more time. I know we play another Big South Conference opponent in Charleston Southern, but just want to represent them in a great way and hope we can end on a good note for Liberty's sake."

Dennis question - "Has it kicked in for you that this is your final college football game?"

Solomon McGinty, LU SENIOR LINEBACKER (FINAL COLLEGE GAME), said "Oh yea, it has. There's been mixed emotions all week, but I don't try to let it get to me. I cried before the last home game, but it's more about just doing what you're coached to do."
