Liberty defeats Presbyterian 60-48, Flames now 11-and-5
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - The Liberty Flames improved to 2-and-1 in Big South Conference play with a 60-48 home win over Presbyterian.
The Flames trailed by one at the half, but heated up the final 20 minutes. Georgie Pacheco-Ortiz drills three of his team-high 14 points to put LU up 6.
Later, Georgie dishes to Lovell Cabbil who hits two of his 13 as Liberty goes on an 11-0 run midway of the half to break it open.
Check out the passing, Caleb Homesley to Myo Baxter-Bell who scores in the paint. The Flames hold the Blue Hose to 32 percent shooting for the game.
Caleb Homelsey added 12 points for the Flames, who improve to 11-and-5 overall with the victory.
Reggie Dillard led Presbyterian with 18 points, Francois Lewis added 15. The Blue Hose drop to 8-and-8 overall, 1-and-2 in the Big South.
