Liberty beats Radford 3-2 in 10 innings in Big South Baseball Tournament
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - The Liberty Flames won their second-straight elimination game Thursday to stay alive in the Big South Baseball Tournament, beating Radford in 10 innings 3-2.
Radford had taken a 2-1 lead in the sixth when Luke Belanger scored on a wild pitch to give the Highlanders their first lead.
Liberty tied it in the 8th, then two outs in the 10th, Tyler Galazin rips a walk-off homer to left.
Liberty wins 3-2 in 10 innings, the Flames refuse to go away quietly, they live to see another day. Radford is eliminated with the loss.
Tyler Galazin, WALK-OFF HOMER FOR FLAMES, said "I knew I hit it well, I knew I hit it well but I didn't know if it had the height or the launch angle to get out. But yea I saw Matty reach up and catch it in the bullpen so that was good."
Liberty will play top seed Campbell in Friday's first game at 10 a.m. Again, the Flames must win that game to stay alive in the tournament.
