Liberty beats CSU 4-2 to stay alive in Big South Baseball Tournament
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - It was MUST-WIN time for Liberty Baseball Wednesday, the Flames taking on Charleston Southern in an elimination game in the Big South Tournament.
Flames freshman pitcher Noah Skirrow had a great day on the mound, pitching into the seventh, striking out eight and allowing just one run.
With LU leading just 1-0 in the fifth, Flames got a break when Tyler Galazin's 2-out pop fly to shallow right is lost in the sun, allowing D.J. Artis to score from second and give the Flames a 2-0 lead.
Liberty added two more in the sixth and then hang on to see another day.
Flames win 4-2, Liberty will play next Thursday afternoon at 3.
