LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Caroline Naumann will be on the walls of Turner Gym for quite some, long after her career at Lynchburg College is over.

The senior forward from Mechanicsburg became just the 10th in program history to pass 1,000 career points in Lynchburg's 67-42 win.

As for the game itself, Naumann led the way for Lynchburg (11-2, 3-1 ODAC) with 19 points, one of the Hornets players to finish in double figures. Brittany Afolabi-Brown had 15, while Olivia DeFrancesco added 11. An 18-5 2nd quarter run gave Lynchburg a comfortable margin over Roanoke (5-8, 2-2 ODAC), which became larger in the third, as Lynchburg outscored the Maroons 26-13 in the stanza. Laura McManimen had 13 points to lead Roanoke.

After the game, Naumann spoke about the magnitude of passing the thousand-point milestone, saying "Those are some greats (in the 1,000 point club) that built this program from the ground up, and there are people whom I've followed my entire career. There are people I admired and looked up to, and I'm up there with them, and that is so humbling!"
