Miller holds off V.E.S. boys 72-67

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Jaelyn Llewellyn poured in a game-high 29 points, but the top-ranked Miller Mavericks held off V.E.S. 72-67 Tuesday night in Lynchburg.

Miller built a 10-point lead at the half, Tariq Balogun throwing down the slam for the Mavericks. Jaelyn Llewellyn helped bring the Bishops back, coast to coast for two AND the foul in period three.

Bryce Waterman had a nice game for V.E.S., pouring in 18 points.

Llewellyn led all scorers with 29, the Bishops got as close as three in the final minutes.

But Miller shut the door, Jaylin Reed led the Mavericks with 17, Aundre Hyatt added 16 , Deshaun Wade 15.
