Salem routs Sherando, advances to Class 4 Finals

SALEM, Va. (WSET) - Home sweet home.

After defeating Blacksburg on the road last week, Salem (12-2) got an unexpected home game in the state semis, thanks to lower Class 4 seed Sherando (11-3) pulling off a few upsets along the way.

There would be no upsets on Saturday, however. Stephen Magenbauer's team made sure of that.

The Spartans ran up a 35-0 halftime lead, cruising to a 49-14 final. With the win, the Spartans booked their trip to Williamsburg, with a date against Louisa County (14-0) Saturday at 5:30pm.

Spartans RB De'Angelo Ramsey scored 4 straight touchdowns, including runs from 66, 22, and 30 yards to help build up an insurmountable lead early. The Senior finished the game with 242 yards on just 19 carries.
