"Inside the Huddle" with Staunton River, Heritage regional champions

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Heritage and Staunton River face off in state semifinal action this Saturday at 2 at Staunton River High School.

Heritage earned its Final Four berth with a 62-20 win over Brookville, Elijah Davis ran wild for six TDs in the first half as the Pioneers improved to 12-and-1.

At Staunton River, Grayson Overstreet ran for five TDs and 300 yards as the Golden Eagles outscored Botetourt 49-31 to stay unbeaten, now 13-and-0.

Staunton River celebrating back-to-back region titles. Here's what the coaches were telling their region champs after Friday's wins.

Chuck Poston, STAUNTON RIVER HEAD COACH, said "We're not done, we still haven't gotten what we came for. But you guys are now the regional championship winners, you guys got another trophy on the shelf brother! Hey, give yourselves a hand!"

Brad Bradley, HERITAGE HEAD COACH, said "It's not what we do on Friday nights, it's what we do Monday through Thursday, for this week Monday through Friday. I'm gonna promise you this, when you play on Saturdays in the day time, it's big-time football men. There's four left, there's no reason why we can't beat the 1, you understand that?"
