Summary: The wins may not have piled up in year one for former Rustburg coach Jack Baker, but entering year two, the Govnernors are making strides towards being a tougher opponent. A more physical style of practice and defense is paying dividends, with the Governors looking disciplined and tough. Despite a small roster, the talent on it has the potential to be a problem, with Colton Baker ready to lead at QB, and senior Tre Terry and Hunter Garrett providing speed and reliability outside. With the roster at its current size, Nelson County will need to stay healthy to be effective, but early camp viewings show a Governors team that is committed to putting in the work towards building a stronger program.
