BLACKSBURG, Va. (WSET) - Blacksburg head coach Thad Wells will reportedly resign his position as head coach of the Bruins to accept a head coaching position in Mooresville, North Carolina.

The Roanoke Times reports Wells will be confirmed as the coach of the Mooresville Blue Devils at a school board meeting Tuesday evening. The 31-year old spent three years leading the Bruins, amassing a 27-12 record, including a 2016 3A state championship win over Staunton River. He took over for David Crist, who spent 40 years as Blacksburg's head coach.
