NASCAR driver prepare for Daytona 500, start of season

CHARLOTTE, NC (WSET) - NASCAR's top names took care of a lot of pre-season business at NASCAR's Media Tour in Charlotte on Tuesday.

Photo opportunities, video shoots, and meeting fans. You know, the usual.

The 2018 season includes schedule changes and team alignments, including William Byron. The 2017 XFinity series champion conquered many obstacles last season, including winning at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. With the Daytona 500 less than a month away, Byron and other drivers talked about their past experiences in the Great American Race and for some what they ANTICIPATE in their first 500.

WILLIAM BYRON, TAKES OVER #24 CAR IN 2018 - "I think that's the biggest challenge as a rookie is going into the Daytona 500 as my first race but I know that I've got a great team around me."

KEVIN HARVICK, Former Daytona 500 Champion: "There isn't any piece of the week that is like any other race. Because any piece of the week of the Daytona 500 is bigger than anything you'll ever experience on any other race weekend."
