LEXINGTON, Va. (WSET) - The VMI Keydets were in unfamiliar waters Saturday. Coming off a big win over East Tennessee State last weekend, VMI came in somewhat of a favorite against Robert Morris.

The visiting Colonials jumped on top four-and-a-half minutes in, Alijah Jackson finds a hole and TAKES OFF, 47 yards, 7-0 Robert Morris.

On the ensuing drive, the Keydets march downfield, Salem's Alex Ramsey doing most of the running, leading to a Grant Clemons' field goal, Ramsey 153 yards.

After exchanging fumbles, Robert Morris struck through the air, Caleb Lewis finds Garrett Houser who breaks free and caps a 15-yard score, 14-3 Colonials.

Back came the Keydets, Reece Udinski finds Leroy Thomas who fights for extra yards, but again VMI held to a field goal.

Moments later, VMI's Aljareek Malry BLOCKS the punt and it goes out of the end zone for a safety, Keydets pull within 14-8.
