Texas custodian's dream of conducting a band comes true
DICKINSON, TX (WSET) -- A great-sounding group of young musicians in Dickinson, Texas had a special guest conductor.
On April 4, 2018, the McAdams Junior High School Band was practicing a piece called Prestissomo.
Band Director John Hinojosa said a beloved custodian, named Floyd Spry, nicknamed "Cowboy," dreamed of conducting a band.
Well, that dream came true when he handed Cowboy the baton.
He took his position on the podium, and it all came naturally.
We're told he's a great guy, and the band was all too happy to fulfill his dream.
