A 2018 voicemail recovered from Hunter Biden’s now infamous laptop revealed that President Joe Biden did have knowledge of his son’s overseas business transactions, despite repeatedly saying he never spoke with Hunter Biden about these deals.

“Hey pal, it’s dad. It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you get a chance, just give me a call. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to talk to you. I thought the article released online — it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times — was good. I think you’re clear," the president is heard saying in the recording.

The voicemail coincided with the release of a New York Times article mentioning details of the fall of a disgraced Chinese oil tycoon Hunter Biden worked with.

Other records from the hard drive show Hunter Biden spent $30,000 on Russian escorts between November 2018 and March 2019. Joe Biden wired $100,000 to his son to help cover bills during this time but there’s no evidence the president knew how his son spent the money.

With new ammunition, congressional Republicans have renewed vows to make probes into Hunter Biden’s business dealings a top priority if they retake the majority this November.

"We need to know what Joe Biden knew and when he knew it," Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., told the New York Post Monday. "When Republicans take back Congress, we will use our congressional power of oversight to uncover the truth.”

The top Republican on the House oversight committee, Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, echoed the sentiments.

“I have been shocked at the amount of evidence that we have now that shows Joe Biden was in fact well aware of many of the shady business dealings and many of the shady business characters that Hunter aligned himself with," Comer said.

Hunter Biden remains under federal investigation for possible violation of tax laws connected to his international business deals. Republicans believe if all the documents are turned over, a link will trace back to the president himself.
