Man falls to his death from balcony at Myrtle Beach resort
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WSET) -- A person has died after police said they fell from a balcony at a resort in Myrtle Beach Wednesday night.
Police said their "preliminary investigation leads us to believe that this was not done at the hands of another right now."
Officers responded to the Patricia Grand Resort on North Ocean Boulevard where a body was scene on the ground around 7 p.m.
Investigators were on the 10th floor near the balcony.
"I was on the side of the building smoking, I walked back around and before the cops and ambulance got here, he was laying on the ground, they haven't covered him up or anything yet. They say he fell from the 10th floor, but I don't think he fell," said one witness.
In the summer of 2017, two similar incidences happened on Ocean Boulevard.
Two teenage girls died at the Camelot Hotel after falling from the top floor and a week later, a man jumped from a balcony at that same hotel.
