As Hurricane Irma barreled toward Florida Friday, the National Hurricane Center announced that another "extremely dangerous" storm churning over the Atlantic Ocean is gaining strength.

Hurricane Jose is now a Category 4 storm, with wind speeds near 150 mph.

Jose is currently moving northwest in the Atlantic, leading to fresh hurricane watches in Antigua, Barbuda and Anguilla; St. Martin; and St. Barthelemy, islands that are still struggling to emerge from the wreckage left behind in Irma’s wake.
