ROCKY MOUNT, Va. (WSET) — The Twin Creeks Distiller is picking up the pieces after their manufacturing facility recently caught on fire.
The fire started Friday evening at the manufacturing facility in Ferrum, separate from their storefront and taste room in Rocky Mount.
Chris Prilliman, the Owner of Twin Peaks said he was in town when his wife called him and told him what was happening.
He said they were welding earlier that night and “a spark I guess just caught up."
Prilliman said the flames took over the shed on the back of the distillery’s manufacturing facility.

His daughter, Anna Prilliman Robertson said firefighters showed up very quickly. They weren’t able to save the back shed, but they did save the main part of the building.
"That would have been a tragic loss and I don’t even know if the distillery could have continued with that kind of loss," Robertson said.
She said they only lost overflow materials and the shed and feels very grateful for everyone who responded so quickly.
Now the family is working on cleaning up from the fire, and power washing the back of the manufacturing facility to get rid of any soot.
Prilliman said the fire luckily did not take anything from the main part of the facility, so their business is good to keep moving forward.
