Water main valve maintenance could impact water color on several streets

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Starting Tuesday and going through Friday, July 28 crews from the City of Lynchburg's Department of Water Resources will be conducting water main valve maintenance on several streets downtown.

It will be from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the week on the following streets:

  • Reese Street
  • Legacy Oaks Circle
  • Legacy Oaks Place
  • Red Maple Court
  • Confederate Avenue
  • Old Forest Road
  • East Cadbury Drive
  • West Cadbury Drive
  • Kettering Lane
  • Devonshire Road
  • Link Road
  • Forest Hills Circle
  • Belle Terre Drive
  • Forest Brook Rd
  • Bonterra Place
  • Holmes Circle
  • Brenleigh Court
  • Milton Street
  • Linkhorne Drive
  • Leslie Street
  • Round Hill Road
  • Gregory Lane
  • Wheatland Court
  • Cranehill Road
  • Overlink Road

If you have discolored water during these times of the week, run the cold water for three to five minutes to let the water clear up, officials said.

Do not run the hot water.

If the water remains discolored longer than five minutes, contact the Department of Water Resources at 434-455-4520.

This maintenance comes after the water main valve maintenance announced on July 7.
