CARROLL Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries said it has a great opportunity for you to catch high quality trout.

They are stocking the Crooked Creek Fee Fishing Area in Carroll County on Wednesday June 20, Friday, June 22, and Saturday, June 23.

VDGIF said more than 300 citation size brook trout and rainbow trout will be stocked over the course of those days.

In addition, they will be stocking hundreds of catchable size (10-12 inch) brook and rainbow trout as well.

A daily permit is required for anglers, but children under 12 can fish without a permit as long as they are with a permitted adult and their combined creel does not exceed an adult (six trout).

Happy fishing!
