Two displaced after Danville house fire
DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) - Fire officials say two people have been displaced after an early morning fire in Danville Monday.
The Danville Fire Department responded to the 400 block of Southland Drive just after 3 a.m.
Crews at the scene found fire showing from the house's attic.
They say once crews confirmed all occupants were out of the house, firefighters were able to begin an "aggressive interior attack."
According to the Danville Fire Department, the fire originated in the garage area and extended into the home, which sustained heavy fire and smoke damage.
They say the two people displaced by the blaze will be staying with family.
The fire department says 23 personnel responded, and units were on scene for about four hours.
