Truck driver taken to hospital after rear-ending crash in Forest

FOREST, Va. (WSET) -- Virginia State Police said an asphalt truck overturned in Forest Monday morning after a crash.

Police and the Forest Volunteer Fire Department responded to Thomas Jefferson Road in Forest around 9:30 a.m.

They said the asphalt truck rear-ended a Jeep on Route 811, causing the truck to overturn.

The driver of the asphalt truck was taken to the hospital, police said, but his condition was unknown.

Charges are pending.

Thomas Jefferson Road was closed from Waterlick Road to Everett Road due to the accident and VDOT is responding to the scene.
