3 charged in connection to death of 17-year-old in Danville, 1 at large

    DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) -- Three people have been charged in connection with the homicide of a 17-year-old in Danville.

    According to the Danville Police Department, the shooting took place Sunday on Arnett Boulevard.

    Police say they combed through hours of surveillance and interviewed numerous people.

    Investigators identified a suspect vehicle through video surveillance.

    Police located that vehicle, searched it, and identified several occupants.

    Police have charged Ladreka Brandon, 33, Antonio Burton, 21, and Justin Jones, 20, with conspiracy to commit first degree murder.

    All three suspects are Danville residents.

    Danville Police say Brandon and Burton have been arrested.

    Jones remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

    Police also are no longer looking for O’Bryan Daquan King for the shooting on that took place on Juless St.

    He has not been located however, police discovered evidence that contradicted the witness information from the day of the shooting.

    Therefore, investigators contacted the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office to request that King’s charge be withdrawn.
