LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Roads will get worse overnight and through Sunday morning as snow increases across the ABC-13 viewing area, and sleet and freezing rain increase across Southside.

Many locations could receive 1” to 3” of snow by midnight.

The snowfall forecast amounts for Southside could be minimal, as freezing rain and sleet develop (due to temperatures warming at cloud level). As of 11PM, we've updated our snowmap to reflect the snow/sleet/freezing rain mix.

The freezing rain and sleet will make roads slippery.

Governor Northam has declared a state of emergency for the Commonwealth as the storm moves through our state.
