Sheriff's Office looking for two suspects they say robbed Danville store at gunpoint

The suspects were able to get cash and then fled the store on foot in the direction toward the City of Danville.

PITTSYLVANIA Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office said it's investigating an armed robbery at a local convenience store.

Investigators said two suspects walked into the Daytona Mart on U.S. Highway 29 in Danville around 9:45 p.m. Thursday, May 31.

Employees told deputies that they had a gun and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspects were able to get cash and then fled the store on foot in the direction toward the City of Danville.

The sheriff's office described one suspect as heavy set, around 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, wearing light-colored pants, a white t-shirt with a white button-up shirt over it, and a dark-colored t-shirt covering his face with a ball cap on his head.

The second suspect was described as slender, around 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, wearing basketball shorts, a white t-shirt, and a white t-shirt covering his face.
