Sheriff's Office investigating 12 reported vehicle break-ins in the past week

AMHERST Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Amherst County Sheriff's Office is looking for information related to a string of vehicle break-ins.

The sheriff's office said it's taken more than 12 reports of vehicle break-ins in the county in just the past week.

They said reports are coming from the Sugar Mill Subdivision, Bobwhite/Ebenezer Road, and Green Hill Road in Amherst County.

The sheriff's office said it's offering a reward for information that leads to the prosecution of suspect(s).

The sheriff's office also wanted to remind residents to make sure your vehicles are secured because the suspect(s) are targeting vehicles left unlocked.
