Sheriff: Henry Co. elementary school received bomb threat, later deemed safe


HENRY Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Henry County Sheriff's Office says a threatening message was discovered at Stanleytown Elementary School Tuesday around noon.

They say after deputies and a K-9 conducted a search to detect explosives, the school was deemed safe.

Investigators feel confident they have identified the suspect but the investigation is ongoing.

Officials are urging to have conversations with their children, encouraging them to immediately report any type of threat they hear and also not be involved in these acts as they can have serious legal repercussions.
