Several Danville Parks, trails reopened, some still in need of repair
DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) -- Danville Parks and Recreation is urging all Riverwalk Trail users to proceed with caution as it has re-opened.
Sections of the Riverwalk Trail have been cleared and are now open, however, there are multiple stream crossings out of commission, trail shoulders in need of repair, and slick mud in some locations.
Users are reminded to obey all signage and barricades.
Tree work will continue in Ballou Park. According to Parks and Recreation, no trees are to be cut without a permit.
Residents wishing to cut wood in the park, should contact Parks Services at 434-799-5215.
Anglers Park is now reopened.
The River District Festival will still take place over the weekend.
