Scaremare's opening day delayed due to Hurricane Michael
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Scaremare's first day of scaring was supposed to be Thursday, October 11, but Hurricane Michael had other plans.
The 46th annual Scaremare opening day is going to be delayed until Friday, and they will also be open Saturday.
The City of Lynchburg is under a tornado watch until 9 p.m., flash flood watch, and wind advisory so Scaremare wants to make sure their volunteers and visitors are safe.
This year's tag line is "your worst nightmare begins here" and they expect 28,000 people to experience 45 minutes of terror over the next few weekends.
You can visit Scaremare every Thursday - Saturday through October 27.
On Thursdays there are discounts for military members and students.
