ROANOKE Co., Va. (WSET) -- Roanoke County Police are currently searching for a missing man.

Police say they were called to the 3600 block of Georgetown road for a well-being check Monday evening.

When authorities arrived, they were told by a friend that 34-year-old Paul W. Youmans was missing since Monday morning.

Youmans is described as being 5'9" tall, about 140 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

During their investigation, officials found Youmans' car in the parking lot for the Dragon's Tooth hike in Catawba.

Roanoke County Police and Fire & Rescue along with a local blood hound tracking group conducted a search of the trail.

They suspended their search at around midnight since it was so dark, and the terrain was rocky.

Officials resumed their search Tuesday, but have not yet located Youmans.

They plan to resume their search Wednesday.
