LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Fifth Street in downtown Lynchburg is getting a little brighter thanks to a restoration grant called Fifth Street Revival.
The grant is funding a new mural at Daughters and Sons Pizza.
Arnulfo Jacinto designed the mural with the owner of the restaurant.
He said it isn't complete yet, but when it's finished, it will say "Greetings from downtown Lynchburg."
"On the inside of each letter will have one of the buildings that personifies downtown Lynchburg, including the fountain and the three universities that are here as well too," said Jacinto.
Jacinto has been painting murals for more than 35 years and said he's happy to be a part of the downtown revitalization.
He expects to finish the mural in two to three weeks.
