LEXINGTON, Va. (WSET) -- In a tweet sent out Saturday morning, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said she was kicked out of a Lexington, Virginia restaurant.

According to the tweet, she was dining at The Red Hen, when the owner came to her table and asked her to leave because she works under the Trump Administration.

The waiter who was serving Sanders' table also made a Facebook post about the incident. Jaike Foley Shultz similarly said that he had been to their table for only a few minutes, when the owner kicked out Sanders and the seven other people in her party.

Now, people on both sides of the aisle are either praising or condemning the actions of the business owner.

Ben Cline, who is running for Congress in the 6th District and currently represents the Lexington area in the Virginia House of Delegates, sent out a tweet apologizing for the actions of the business owner. He said the actions of that person do not represent the rest of the Lexington community.

On the Red Hen's Facebook and Yelp pages, people are giving either negative or positive reviews of the restaurant after the alleged incident.

The Red Hen and its owner have yet to make a comment on the incident involving the Press Secretary.
