Police: 2 arrive to hospital after being shot in Lynchburg
LYNCHBURG, Va (WSET) -- Lynchburg Police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured Thursday night.
According to police, officers responded to the 1500-block of Buchanan Street at around 10:44 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
They said a short time later, two people arrived at the Lynchburg General Hospital Emergency Room for treatment.
They each arrived separately and were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police said they had received the injuries at the scene where officers were actively investigating on Buchanan Street.
According to officials, the first victim, a 25-year-old resident of Lynchburg, received a small gunshot wound to his arm while the second victim, a 20-year-old resident of Lynchburg, received a grazing wound to his head and back.
Neither injuries are said to be life-threatening.
There is no word on a suspect at this time.
This is an ongoing investigation.
