Police: Driver charged after tractor trailer carrying eggs overturns on Route 460

BEDFORD, Va. (WSET) - State Police say crews are still working to clean up after a tractor trailer carrying eggs crashed on Route 460 Tuesday morning in Bedford County.

Police say Sheldon Gray was driving the truck around 7:40 a.m. headed east on 460 near Patterson Mill Road when he ran off the road, tried to stop, and overturned into the median.

According to police, Gray was not injured in the crash.

They say a lane in each direction was closed while crews work to get the truck upright.

The left lane on the east side will be blocked until around 10:30 a.m., police say.

Gray has been charged with failure to maintain lane of travel.

No injuries were reported in the crash.
