Police: 20-year-old arrested for DUI after crashing on Campbell Ave
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Police have arrested a woman after she crashed into a pole on Campbell Avenue Friday morning.
According to police, a vehicle ran off the roadway just before 3 a.m. in the 3500-block of Campbell Avenue before it struck a telephone pole and overturned.
At least one power line has been damaged, causing AEP to report outages in the area. Internet service providers also responded to the scene.
Police identified the driver as Mia Vanags, 20, of Lynchburg. They said she was arrested for driving under the influence.
She was not injured in the crash.
Vanags has also been charged with driving after illegally consuming alcohol, under the age of 21, and reckless driving - endangering life, limb, or property.
All lanes on Campbell Ave have been reopened.
