Police seeking suspect in abduction, sexual assault of 5-year-old girl

MOUNT VERNON, Va. (WSET) - Police have released the composite sketch of a man they believe is responsible for the abduction and sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl in northern Virginia on Sunday.

Fairfax County Police say the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of Tower Drive in Mount Vernon.

Police say anyone who knows someone matching the description, has seen this man in their neighborhood, or have information on the suspect, should contact police.

Police wrote on their Facebook page "the information you have, regardless of how trivial you feel it may be, could be the critical link in solving this case."

Fairfax Police say anonymous tips are eligible for cash rewards between $100 and $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
