1 sent to hospital after being shot in Roanoke, police investigating

    ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- Roanoke Police are searching for a suspect after a man was found shot inside a home Thursday morning.

    They said officers responded to a report of a shooting in the the 3400 block of Bennett Dr. NW.

    Upon arrival, police said they found the man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for his injury.

    Police said they do not believe there is any immediate danger to the public.
