UPDATE: 3:25 p.m.

Lynchburg Police said Sherwin Overstreet's vehicle has been located, but they are still searching for him.

The two victims from the shooting suffered non-life-threatening wounds and are expected to recover.

This remains an ongoing investigation.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Lynchburg Police said they are looking for a Roanoke man after two high-school girls were shot while working at McDonald's Friday night on Wards Road.

Police said officers responded to the restaurant at 2135 Wards Road across from Burlington Coat Factory around 6:21 p.m.

Officers said when they got there they determined that there was altercation while a customer was at the drive-thru window between an employee.

Another employee said it was over a meal.

Police said the customer, identified as Sherwin Torrance Overstreet, drove away from the drive-thru, parked his vehicle, then went inside and continued to fight. He then shot the two girls and then fled the scene in a 2005 red Mazda SUV with a Virginia license plate, URS-7076.

Overstreet is charged with two counts of malicious wounding and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The two girls are in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

McDonald's responded to the incident with a statement saying they are helping police any way they can.

The safety and well-being of our employees and customers is our top priority. We are fully cooperating with our local police department. Because this investigation is on-going, we can offer no further comment at this time.
