Police: Man reportedly shot in Lynchburg, shows up at hospital with gunshot wound
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Lynchburg Police Department said they are investigating a possible shooting.
Police said officers responded to the area of 14th Street and Monroe Street for a report of a man lying on the ground with a possible gunshot wound around 11:13 p.m. Monday, December 3.
When officers got to the scene, the man was not there.
Officers canvassed the surrounding area before being alerted to a man arriving to Lynchburg General Hospital with a single gunshot wound.
The victim was treated at the hospital and police said the injury doesn't appear to be life-threatening.
They said the case is active and ongoing and more information will be released after an investigation.
