MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WSET) – A man has been arrested after police said he broke into two churches in the Martinsville area.

Terry Lee Booker, 61, was charged with breaking and entering, petit larceny and destruction of property after breaking into the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church twice in June.

He is also being charged for breaking into Shiloh Baptist Church in Cascade and Church of Christ in Axton.

Police said Booker is on federal probation for homicide/murder for hire in South Carolina and that he was also previously in a motorcycle gang.

Police said he told them he was bored and that is why he broke into the churches.

He’s currently being held in the Martinsville City Jail.
