Police: Man crushed by tractor trailer that was left in neutral


ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) - Roanoke Police say they found a man beneath a tractor trailer Thursday morning.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Glade View Drive NW just after 10:15 a.m.

They say a dead man was lying in the street next to the truck.

According to police, the preliminary investigation shows the truck was left in neutral when the man got out, and it rolled forward, crushing him.

Roanoke Police, Roanoke Fatality Investigators, Roanoke Forensic Investigators and Virginia State Police continue to investigate the incident.

The man's identity has not been released.
