Police: Man airlifted after hitting tree, being ejected from car in Pittsylvania Co. crash


PITTSYLVANIA Co., Va. (WSET) -- A 60-year-old man was flown to a Roanoke Hospital early Friday morning after he was ejected from a car.

Police said the crash happened just after midnight on Wade Road in Pittsville.

The man hit a tree.

According to officials, the man was unconscious when he was airlifted.

Officials were unable to give an exact condition on the man or the reason for the crash.
