Police: Lynchburg landlord embezzled more than $20,000 from apartment complex

As a result of the investigation, police arrested 52-year-old Brenda Inez Waller, of Lynchburg, the property manager of Jefferson House Apartments at the time and charged her with six felony counts of embezzlement (BRRJ)

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Lynchburg Police said they have charged the property manager of a local apartment complex for embezzlement.

Police said they got a report of possible embezzlement at Jefferson House Apartments on Langhorne Square in March.

Over the next few months, Detective H. Blomquist discovered discrepancies in excess of $20,000.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested 52-year-old Brenda Inez Waller, of Lynchburg, the property manager of Jefferson House Apartments at the time and charged her with six felony counts of embezzlement.

She was taken to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail on Thursday, December 6.
