Police: Man who robbed Family Dollar taken into custody

UPDATE: Officials say Daniel Ray Cuneo was taken into custody by Lynchburg Police.

He is currently being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.


LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Family Dollar in Lynchburg.

They say police responded to the Family Dollar located at 3516 Campbell Ave at approximately 9:18 p.m. Saturday night.

Police say the suspect, Daniel Ray Cueno, threatened the clerk with a knife and demanded money.

According to officials he left on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the suspect is wanted for one count of robbery.

They say it is possible the suspect had an accomplice.
