Police identify victim in Melrose Ave. shooting

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — Roanoke police have identified the victim of Wednesday's shooting in Roanoke.

Police say the victim is 21-year-old Lindsey P. Shook of Troutville.

The shooting took place in the 3900 block of Melrose Avenue NW at around 12:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, police found Shook unresponsive in a car with what appeared to be critical injuries. Roanoke Fire-EMS pronounced Shook dead on the scene.
