Police: Driver wanted after damaging cars, AEP telephone pole in Roanoke crash


ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- Police in Roanoke are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident Wednesday morning.

According to officials, police were notified of a vehicle accident in the 3000 Block of Franklin Road SW.

Upon arrival, they said it was discovered that a Honda Accord traveling southbound on Franklin Road veered over into the northbound lanes and left the roadway, striking an AEP telephone pole and knocking it over.

The pole landed on several vehicles in a car lot causing damage.

They said the vehicle continued to travel southbound where it stopped a short distance away.

Police said they searched the area and were unable to locate the driver of the vehicle.

This accident is still under investigation/
