LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Lynchburg Police Department said a middle school student could be facing charges for having a knife on school property.
Police said they got a report of a student at Sandusky Middle School with a knife at school on Thursday, December 6.
The School Resource Officer began to investigate after the initial report, and police said the student and the knife were located without incident.
The charges of possessing a knife on school property are pending.
Police said the investigation is still ongoing and there is no threat at this time.
They said it was an isolated incident and no one was hurt.
